The Honorable Eugene Brune, former Mayor of Somerville, created this wreath, complete with lights, red velvet bows and postcard of Somerville historic sites. The red deer and sparkly green and gold bow added to the cheer.
This wreath by Evelyn Battinelli, Executive Director of the Somerville Museum, was hotly bidded against. The three red cardinals, one in a nest, plaid bow and fresh greens made it a favorite.
This is a gorgeous large (40" diameter) fresh greens wreath created by master gardener, Vilma Sullivan. It is ornamented by bright red berries and velvet bow, pine cones, and a large dried artichoke. One secret of the desirability is surely the lottery tickets added as well. Good one, Vilma!
Felista Gallagher created this wreath as part of a pair she graciously donated to the Somerville Museum - though she had a bit of a bidding war to win it! We thank her! The wreath is of natural twigs and fresh greens, with pine cones and berries. A red cardinal surmounts the top and a pictorial ornament adds more feeling of the season.
Evelyn Battinelli created yet another high bid item for the wreath auction - this one with fresh boxwood, pearls, pink roses, a pink silky bow and an angel at the top. Bravo!
It was a huge amount of fun for those of who made them, and those who bought them. See you next year!
